Effective rates for various textiles fibres and yarns under Chapters 51 to 56 - Amendment to Notification No. 26/94-C.E., dated 1-3-1994

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 26/94-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1994, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, -

(i) against S. No. 13, in column (3), for the words "Nylon filament yarn", the words "Nylon filament yarn, including sewing thread", shall be substituted;

(ii) against S. No. 14, in column (3), for the words "Nylon filament yarn", the words "Nylon filament yarn, including sewing thread", shall be substituted;

(iii) against S. No. 15, in column (3), for the words "Polyester filament yarn", the words "Polyester filament yarn, including sewing thread", shall be substituted;

(iv) against S. No. 16, in column (3), for the words "Nylon filament yarn", the words "Nylon filament yarn, including sewing thread", shall be substituted;

(v) against S. No. 17, in column (3), for the words "Polyester filament yarn", the words "Polyester filament yarn, including sewing thread", shall be substituted;

(vi) against S. No. 18, in column (3), for the words "polybutylene terephthalate yarn", the words "polybutylene terephthalate yarn, including sewing thread", shall be substituted; and

(vii) against S. No. 20, in column (3), for the words "deniers, not textured", the word "deniers" shall be substituted.
