Fibres, yarns and fabrics falling under Chapters 50 to 56 - Amendment to Notification No. 31/93-CE. Notification No. 93/93-C.E. Dated 16-7-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/93-Central Excises, dated the 28th February, 1993, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, against Sl. No. 20, in column (3), for the words "Synthetic filament yarn and sewing thread, other than of polyamides and polyester", the words "Synthetic filament yarn and sewing thread, other than of polyamides, polyester, polypropylene and polybutylene terephthalate" shall be substituted.
