In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

In the said notification, for the words "rupees six and paise fifty per kilogram" the words and figures "Rs. 8.00 per kilogram" shall be substituted; |

In the Table annexed to the said notification: - |

(a) against S. No. 10, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 9.00 per kilogram" the words and figures "Rs. 12.00 per kilogram" shall be substituted; |

|
|
(b) S. Nos. 30 and 31 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; |
|
|
|
(c) against S. No. 35, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 50.00 per kilogram", the words and figures "Rs. 63.00 per kilogram" shall be substituted; |
|
|
|
(d) against S. No. 36, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 55.00 per kilogram" the words and figures "Rs. 70.00 per kilogram" shall be substituted; |
|
|
|
(e) against S. No. 38, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 12.00 per kilogram" the words and figures "Rs. 14.00 per kilogram" shall be substituted; and |

|
|
(f) against S. No. 39, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 8.50 per kilogram" the words and figures "Rs. 10.50 per kilogram" shall be substituted; |

In the said notification for the words and figures, "Rs. 8.50 per kilogram" the words and figures "Rs. 10.50 per kilogram" shall be substituted. |
