Amendment to Notification No. 69/89-C.E. - Aluminium and Articles thereof

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 69/89-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1989, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, for S. No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and the entries shall be substituted, namely :-

"04.	(i)	7604.10, 7605.11 and 7605.21	Wire-rods of aluminium, wrought; aluminium wire of which the maximum cross-sectional dimension exceeds 6 mm	20% plus Rs. 2500 per tonne
