Amendment to Notification No. 393/86-C.E. [Ch. 33]

Notification No. 254/88-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 393/86-Central Excises, dated the 22nd August, 1986, namely :-

In the proviso to the said notification, the following words shall be inserted at the end, namely :-

"and the Assistant Collector of Central Excise is satisfied that the said barrier creams are intended for use in an industrial establishment for distribution among workers".
