Exemption to certain specified goods connected with Solar and other Natural energy Notification No. 205/88-C.E. Dated 25-5-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, and in supersession of notification of the Govern ment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 120/81-Central Excises, dated the 15th May, 1981, the Central Government hereby exempts goods of the description specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed and falling within the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule. Solar power generating systems. 10. Solar photovoltaic modules and panels for water pumping and other applications. 11. Solar crop driers and systems. 12. Wind mills and any specially designed devices which run on wind mills. 13. Any special devices including electric generators and pumps running on wind energy. 14. Bio-gas plants and bio-gas engines. 15. Agricultural and municipal waste conversion devices producing energy. 16. Equipment for utilising ocean waves energy. 17. Ocean thermal energy conversion systems. 18. Parts consumed within the factory of production of such parts for the manufacture of goods specified at S. Nos. 01 to 17 above.
