Amendment to Notification No. 89/88-C.E. [Ch. 72]

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 89/88-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, -

(i) in S. No. 24(i), in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 500 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 715 per tonne" shall be substituted; and

(ii) in S. No. 25(i), in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 500 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 715 per tonne" shall be substituted.
