Amendment to Notification No. 53/88-C.E. [Ch. 39]

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby make the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 53/88-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, -

(i) in S. No. 09, in column (2), for the figures "3905.20", the figures "3905.90" shall be substituted;

(ii) against S. No. 39, in column (5), in clause (i), for the word "and" occuring at the end, the word "or" shall be substituted.
