Amends Notification No. 74/85-C.E. - Electronic components

Notification No. 235/87-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 74/85-Central Excises, dated the 17th March, 1985, namely :-

In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 3, for the entry in Column (2), the following entry shall be substituted, namely :-

"(a) Cathode ray tubes falling under sub-heading No. 8540.90 of the Schedule to the said Tariff Act; and

(b) Cathode ray television picture tubes of screen size exceeding 15 centimetres but not exceeding 36 centimetres, falling under sub-heading No. 8540.12 of the Schedule to the said Tariff Act."
