Delegation of power of investigation and adjudication

Notification No. 189/87-C.E.

Dated 31-7-1987

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 2 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), read with rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby invests the Collector of Central Excise, Bombay-I, with the powers of the Collector of Central Excise, to be exercised by him throughout the territory of India, for the purposes of investigation and adjudication of such cases as may, from time to time, be assigned to him by the said Central Board of Excise and Customs.
