In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excises Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking No. 253/76-Central Excises, dated the 25th September, 1976, namely :-

In the said notification, in the opening portion, for the word and figure "Chapter 27", the words and figures "Chapter 27 and Benzene and Toluene falling under Chapter 29" shall be substituted.
