Winding wire of copper, Aluminium and other metals - 395/86 - Central Excise - TariffExtract Winding wire of copper, Aluminium and other metals Notification No. 395/86-C.E. Dated 22-8-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 69/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) for Sl. No. 1 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) 1. (i) Winding wires made of copper. Nil (i) Such wires are made from wrought wire rods of copper falling under heading No. 74.03 of the said Schedule on which the appropriate amount of duty of excise leviable under the second mentioned Act or the additional duty leviable under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), as the case may be, has already been paid; and (ii) No credit of the duty paid on unwrought copper in any form orwrought wire rods of copper used in their manufacture has been taken under rule 56A or rule 57A of the said rules. Explanation :- For the aforesaid conditions, all wrought wire rods of copper in the country, except, such wrought wire rods as are clearly recognisable as being non-duty paid, shall be deemed to be wrought wire rods of copper on which such duty has already been paid. (ii) Winding wires made of copper. 15% ad valorem. (ii) against Sl. No. 2, in column (2), for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- "Winding wires made of aluminium".
