Copper, copper products and waste and scrap of copper Notification No. 345/86-C.E. Dated 18-6-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 173/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st August, 1984, namely:- In the Table annexed to the said notification, for S. No. 8 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) (4) "8. 7409.00 Shells and blanks for pipes and tubes If the said goods are used in the manufacture of pipes and tubes of copper exempted under S. No. 6 or 7 of this Table: Provided that where such use is elsewhere than in the factory of production of the said goods, the procedure specified in Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 is followed.".
