Tea [Chapter 9]

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 32/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986, namely :—

In the said notification,—

(a) in the Table, in column (3),—

(i) for the entry against Zone I, the entry "0.44" shall be substituted;

(ii) for the entry against Zone II, the entry "0.66" shall be substituted;

(iii) for the entry against Zone III, the entry "0.22" shall be substituted;

(iv) for the entry against Zone IV, the entry "1.21" shall be substituted;

(v) for the entry against Zone V, the entry "1.43" shall be substituted;

(vi) for the entry against Zone VI, the entry "0.27" shall be substituted;

(vii) for the entry against Zone VII, the entry "0.44" shall be substituted;

(b) in the proviso,—

(i) in clause (ii), for the figures and words "10 paise per kilogram", the figures and words "11 paise per kilogram" shall be substituted;

(ii) in sub-clause (b) of clause (iii) and sub-clause (b) of clause (iv), for the words "sixty paise per kilogram", wherever they occur, the words "sixty-six paise per kilogram" shall be substituted.
