Amending notification

Notification No. 104/86-C.E.

Dated 27-2-1986

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957) and sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Textiles and Textile Articles) Act, 1978 (40 of 1978), the Central Government hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), or in the Department of Revenue and Banking, as the case may be, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

1.	192/76-Central Excises, dated the 19th June, 1976.	In the said notification, for the words, figures and brackets "falling respectively under Item Nos. 21 and 22 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944)", the words, figures and brackets "falling under Chapter 51, 54, 55, 58, 59 or 60 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986)" shall be substituted;
2.	167/79-Central Excises, dated the 19th April, 1979.	In the said notification, for the words, figures and brackets "falling under Item No. 68 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944)", the words, figures and brackets "falling under Chapter 87 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986)" shall be substituted.
3.	48/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the said notification, for the words "conferred by", the words, figures and brackets "conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with" shall be substituted.
4.	62/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the said notification, in the Table, in column (2), for the figures and word "83, 85 or 87", the figures and word "73.08, 83, 85, 87 or 95" shall be substituted.
5.	78/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification,—
	78/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	(i) against S. No. 99, in column (3), for the words and figures "sub-heading No. 3909.70", the words and figures "Heading No. 39.21" shall be substituted ;
		(ii) against S. No. 107, in column (2), for the words and figures "220/84-Central Excises, dated the 5th July, 1984", the words and figures "220/84-Central Excises, dated the 5th December, 1984"; shall be substituted;
		(iii) S. No. 8 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted.
6.	79/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. Nos. 83, 87 and 88 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
7.	80/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table to the said notification, S. Nos. 4 and 8 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
8.	83/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the said notification, in the Table, in column (2),—
		(i) against existing entry 15C in column (1), for the entry "11.03", the entry "11.03 or 3501.20" shall be substituted ;
		(ii) against existing entry 46 in column (1), for the entry "83.12", the entry "8312.12", shall be substituted.
9.	35/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the said notification, Serial No. 98 and entry relating thereto shall be omitted.
10.	96/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. Nos. 7 and 18 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
11.	97/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, the S. No. 21 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
