Amending Notification Notification No. 245/85-C.E. Dated 4-12-1985 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 47/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1984. In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 1, in column (4), for the existing entry, the entry "Nil" shall be substituted. 2. 174/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st August, 1984. In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 2, in column (4), for the existing entry, "Rs. 1300/- per metric tonne", the entry "Rs. 2600/- per metric tonne" shall be substituted; 3. 175/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st August, 1984. In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 4, — (1) in column (3), for the existing entry, the entry "Wrought bars and rods (including wire rods) of brass." shall be substituted; (2) in column (4), for the existing entry, the entry "Rs. 3,000/- per metric tonne." shall be substituted.
