Dated 21-5-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 2 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) read with rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Board of Excise and Customs invests the Commissioner of Central Excise, Bhubaneswar-I with the powers of the Central Excise Officer, to be exercised by him throughout the territory of India, for the purpose of investigation and adjudication of cases against M/s. Western India Machinery Company, Calcutta and M/s. Vineet Electrical Industries (Private) Limited, Calcutta.
