Appointment of Collector of Customs (Judicial), Madras as Collector of Customs in the jurisdiction of Collectorates of Central Excise, Coimbatore and Madras to adjudicate specific gold seizure cases Notification No. 56/91-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 16-8-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby appoints the Collector of Customs (Judicial), Madras to exercise the powers of a Collector of Customs, in the jurisdictions of the Collector of Central Excise, Coimbatore and the Collector of Central Excise, Madras for the specific purpose of adjudicating the cases pertaining to seizure of 750 gold biscuits with foreign markings on the 25th June, 1986 at Coimbatore and seizure of vessel m.v. Thai Hong on the 27th June, 1986 at Madras.
