Exemption from Special additional Customs duty to certain specified goods - Amendment to Notification No. 34/98-Cus. Notification No. 48/98-Cus. Dated 17-7-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962); read with sub-clause (a) of Clause 107 of the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 1998, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration made in the said Finance Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law, the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 34/98-Customs, dated the 13th June, 1998, namely :- In the said notification, in the Table, - (i) against serial No. 13, in column (2), item (xi) shall be omitted; (ii) after serial No. 13 and the entries relating thereto the following para shall be added, namely :- "14. All goods falling within the said First Schedule and import of such goods is covered by Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 34/97-Customs, dated the 7th April, 1997.
