Special Customs duty - Amendment to Notification No. 12/97-Cus. Notification No. 46/97-Cus. Dated 14-5-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 68 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1996 (33 of 1996), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 12/97-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1997, namely :- In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for items (b) and (c), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "(b) in the case of goods specified against S. Nos. 2 to 13 of the said Table, from the whole of the special duty of customs leviable thereon under sub-section (1) of section 68 of the said Finance Act :"
