Effective rate of duty for specified goods of Chapters 1 to 99 - Amendment to Notification No. 36/96-Cus. Notification No. 6/97-Cus. Dated 22-1-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 36/96-Customs dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely :- In list 9 to the said notification, in item (22) the words "and cables" shall be omitted.
