Air-conditioned cars and coaches - Amendment to Notification No. 83/92-Cus. Notification No. 298/92-Cus. Dated 25-11-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 283/92-Customs, dated the 1st October, 1992, namely :- In the said notification - (i) in clause (a) to the second proviso, for the words "specified goods are required for development of tourism in the country'', the words "specified goods are required for providing transport for tourists" shall be substituted; and (ii) in the Explanation, for the words "Tour Operator", the words "Tour Operator, Tourist Transport Operator", shall be substituted.
