Amendment to six auxiliary duty notifications Notification No. 284/90-Cus. Dated 15-12-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 64 of the Finance Act, 1990 (12 of 1990), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended, or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 178/90-Customs, dated the 31st May, 1990 In the Table annexed to the said notification, Sl. Nos. 2 and 3 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. 179/90-Customs, dated the 31st May, 1990 In the Table annexed to the said notification, after Sl. No. 16 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) "16A 27 Coke with phosphorous content of 0.035% or below" 3. 180/90-Customs, dated the 31st May, 1990 In the Schedule annexed to the said notification,- (i) Sl. Nos. 100, 149, 158 and 210 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; (ii) after Sl. No. 281 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "282. No. 279-Customs, dated the 15th December, 1990 283. No. 281-Customs, dated the 15th December, 1990 284. No. 282-Customs, dated the 15th December, 1990" 4. 181/90-Customs, dated the 31st May, 1990 In the said notification, - (i) In the opening paragraph, for the figure and words, "5 per cent", the figures and words "25 per cent" shall be substituted; (ii) In the Table, Sl. No. 6 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 5. 186/90-Customs, dated the 31st May, 1990. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words, "45 per cent", the figures and words "50 per cent" shall be substituted 6. 189/90-Customs, dated the 31st May, 1990 In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words, "forty-five per cent", the figures and words "50 per cent" shall be substituted.
