Goods imported against Advance Licences -Amendment to Notification No. 159/90-Cus. [G.E. No. 147] Notification No. 270/90-Cus. Dated 6-11-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 159/90-Customs, dated the 30th March, 1990, namely :- For the existing condition (e) following shall be substituted :- "(e) in the case of goods being nylon fibre, nylon yarn, nylon fabrics, polyester fibre, polyester yarn, polyester fabrics, polyester waste, acrylic waste, synthetic waste, stainless steel sheets, stainless steel strips, magnetic tapes, precious metals, metals clad with precious metals and articles thereof, the import shall be only through any of the sea ports of Bombay, Calcutta, Cochin, Kandia, Madras, Nhava Sheva and Vishakhapatnam or through any of the air ports at Bangalore, Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi and Madras or through any of the internal container depots at Bangalore, Delhi and Ludhiana and the export of resultant products in which such goods are used shall be only through any of the said sea ports or airports or internal container depots : Provided that the import of polyester waste, acrylic waste and synthetic waste and export of resultant products thereof shall not be allowed from Internal Container Depot at Ludhiana."
