Auxiliary duty - Amendments to Notification Nos. 157/89-Cus. 162/89-Cus. Notification No. 2/90-Cus. Dated 5-1-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of Section 35 of the Finance Act, 1989 (13 of 1989), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 157/89-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1989 In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 2, in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 3000 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 5000 per tonne" shall be substituted. 2. 162/89-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1989 In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
