Specified goods falling within Chapter 84, 85 or 90 Notification No. 283/89-Cus. Dated 29-12-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 489/86-Customs, dated the 18th December, 1986, namely :- (i) In the Schedule to the said notification, in the LIST OF MACHINERY, after Item No. 11 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "12. Hopper feeder. 13. Short fibres feeder. 14. Specialised cards for blending with 5 - pair roller. 15. Intersecting gill drawing frame. 16. Rotor spinning frame for bast fibres. 17. Dref spinning frame for short fibre spinning. 18. High speed roll/cone winder including attachment for jambo spools. 19. Composite felt making plant including coating/ garnetting/needle looms. 20. Selvedge tuck - in device. 21. Selvedge sealing (Beading) attachment"; and (ii) In paragraph 2 of the said notification, for the figures, letters and words "31st December, 1989", the figures, letters and words "31st December, 1990" shall be substituted.
