Amendments to Notification Nos. 159/89-Cus. and 161/89-Cus. [Auxiliary Duty] Notification No. 257/89-Cus. Dated 26-10-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of Section 35 of the Finance Act, 1989 (13 of 1989), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and Date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 159/89-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1989. In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, after Serial No. 165 and the entry relating thereto, the following Serial No. and entry shall be inserted, namely :- "165A. No. 79-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985"; 2. 161/89-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1989. In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, Serial No. 22 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted.
