Amendment to Notification Nos. 70/81-Cus. [G.E. 26] and 321/87-Cus. [G.E. 30] Notification No. 10/89-Cus. Dated 16-1-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table : THE TABLE S. In the said notification, - in the first paragraph, the proviso occurring after clause (ii) shall be omitted. 2. 321/87-Customs, dated the 22nd September, 1987. In the said Notification, - (i) In the opening paragraph, the words "or by any University" shall be omitted; (ii) In condition 1, the words "or the University, as the case may be", shall be omitted; (iii) In condition 2, the words "or the Head of the University, as the case may be", shall be omitted; (iv) In condition 3, - (a) the words "or the University, as the case may be" shall be omitted; (b) the words "or, as the case may be, University," shall be omitted; (c) the words "or, as the case may be, the University", at the two places where they occur, shall be omitted; (v) the Explanation, shall be omitted.
