Foreign Travel Tax: Dy. Minister or Foreign Secretaries, etc., of other countries attending Developing Countries Conference exempted from payment of tax Notification Number: 055 Dated 10-02-1982 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, hereby exempts the Deputy Minister or Foreign Secretaries and their spouses and delegates (including officials) numbering 146 from the countries mentioned in the Schedule hereto annexed, and the foreign media representatives, coming to attend the Developing Countries Conference to be held in New Delhi from the 21st February, 1982, to the 26th February, 1982, from payment of foreign travel tax leviable under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the said Act, in respect to their international journey to any place outside India at the close of the said Conference. 2.
