Exemption to the delegates to attend Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting Notification Number: 4/FTT/83 Dated 19-11-1983 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, hereby exempts the Heads of Governments and their spouses, delegates, officials and foreign media representatives, coming to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting to be held in New Delhi, from the 23rd November, 1983, to the 29th November, 1983, from payment of foreign travel tax leviable under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the said Act, in respect of their international journey to any place outside India at the close of the said meeting. 2.
