Post Office Savings Account (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 1989 Notification Number: 0813(E) Dated 04-09-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Government Savings Banks Act, 1873 (5 of 1873), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Savings Account Rules, 1981, namely:-- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Post Office Savings Account (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 1989. 2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Table to the Post Office Savings Account Rules, 1981, against serial number 6 relating to public account, under column 4, the following shall be added at the end, namely:-- "except that an authority may open a second account for deposit of Jawahar Rozgar Yojna Funds".
