Appointment of official liquidator for liquidation of companies in States of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand - SO 1145(E), - Companies Law

Notification No. SO 1145(E), dated 21-12-2000, Issued by Department of Company Affairs Subject:- Appointment of official liquidator for liquidation of companies in States of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand S.O. 1145(E).- Whereas the State of Chhattisgarh has been formed on and from the appointed day being the 1st day of November, 2000 by the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 (28 of 2000); And whereas the State of Uttaranchal has been formed on and from the appointed day being the 9th day of November, 2000 by the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 (29 of 2000); And whereas the State of Jharkhand has been formed on and from the appointed day being the 15th day of November, 2000 by the Bihar Reorganisation Act, 2000 (30 of 2000); And whereas the Central Government has felt necessity of appointing the Official Liquidators in the State of Chhattisgarh, the State of Uttaranchal and the State of Jharkhand; Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by section 448 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby directs that there shall be offices at Indore, Allahabad and Patna for the purposes of liquidation of companies under the said Act in the States of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand and appoints the Official Liquidators at Indore, Allahabad and Patna as Official Liquidators for the liquidation of companies under the said Act in the said three States of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand respectively.
