MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Company Affairs) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28 th , January, 2004 Subject:- Constitution of a committee to administer the Investor Education and Protection Fund established by the Notification No. GSR 749 (E) dated 1.10.2001 S.O. 125(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 205C of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby constitutes a committee consisting of the following persons to administer the Investor Education and Protection Fund established by the Central Government vide GSR No. 749(E), dated 1st October, 2001, namely : S/Shri 1. Secretary, Department of Company Affairs (DCA) - Chairman 2. Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, DCA - Member 3. Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai - Member 4. Executive Director, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Mumbai - Member 5. Prof. J.L. Gupta, Sri Ram College of Commerce - Member 6. P.N. Vijay, Investor Analyst, Delhi - Member 7. Ms. Sucheta Dalal, Journalist, Mumbai - Member 8. Kirit Somaiya, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha - Member 9. Manu Chadha, Chartered Accountant, New Delhi - Member 10. Rajendra Chitale, Chartered Accountant - Member 11. Ajay Shah, Consultant, Department of Economic Affairs - Member Vice-Chairman, Company Law Board - Special Invitee Joint Secretary, Department of Company Affairs - Convenor 2.
