Amendments in the Cus Ntf No. 21/2002 dated 1.3.2002 - ( Exemption Notification) 6 th June, 2006 Notification No. 55/2006- Customs In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1 st March, 2002 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.118 (E), dated the 1 st March, 2002, namely:- In the said notification, in the Table, for S.No. 154, and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) "154. 48 Newsprint - (i) in strips or rolls of a width not less than 34.92 cm; or (ii) in rectangular (including square) sheets with one side not less than 34.92 cm and the other side exceeding 15 cm in the unfolded state 5% Nil -". F.No.332/44/2000-TRU Note : The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 118(E), dated the 1 st March, 2002 and was last amended by notification No.53/2006-Customs, dated the 31 st May, 2006 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R. 330(E), dated the 31 st May, 2006.
