Appointment of Director of Statistics Intelligence as Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) North Zone . [Notification No. 70/89-Cus. (N.T.), dated 15-12-1989 ] In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby appoints the Director, Directorate of Statistics and Intelligence, Customs and Central Excise, New Delhi, to be the Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), who shall have jurisdiction in the North Zone Collectorates.
