ARECA NUT CLASSIFICATION IN ITC(HS) EXIM POLICY CHANGED TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART-II, SECTION-3, SUB SECTION (ii) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION NO. 35(RE-99) 1997-2002 NEW DELHI : 29 th November,1999 S.O (E) - In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items , 1997-2002 published on 31 st March, 1997 (RE-98) as amended from time to time, namely - 2. After amendment, the following will read as under: Exim Code Item Description Policy Conditions relating to policy Import under SIL/ Public Notice 080290 01 Betel nut/ Areca nut ,whole Restricted Consumer goods- Not permitted to be imported except against a licence or in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf. 080290 02 Betel nut/ Areca nut ,split ground Restricted Consumer goods- Not permitted to be imported except against a licence or in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf. 080290 03 Deleted This issues in Public Interest.
