Body building parts and components - Exemption provision amended Notification No. 27/98-CE, dated 3-9-98 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) , read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957) , the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in notification of Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 9/96-CE, dated the 23rd July, 1996 , namely:- In the Table annexed to the said notification -, (a) against serial No.4, in column (3), for the words, letters and figures does not exceed Rs. 100 per square metre, the words, letters and figures does not exceed Rs.150 per square metre shall be substituted; (b) against serial No.22, in column (3), for the words does not exceed rupees one hundred per square metre, the words does not exceed rupees one hundred and fifty per square metre shall be substituted. 2. This notification shall come into effect on and from 4th day of September, 1998.
