In partial modification of this office letter No.F.101/VAT/Works Contract/Policy-I/1539-52 dated 31.8.05 on the above noted subject, I am directed to inform you that "A No Dues Certificate" of the party concerned before awarding the contract as mentioned in Point I of the letter may be replaced by a certificate from the contractor that up to date returns have been filed along with the copies of such returns submitted to the Department of Trade & Taxes.
