Income-tax (13th Amendment) Rules, 2006 NOTIFICATION No.314/2006, dated 9-11-2006 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 295 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Income-tax (13th Amendment) Rules, 2006. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Income-tax Rules, 1962,- (a) in the heading to rule 6DD, for the words "a crossed cheque drawn on a bank or by a crossed bank draft", the words "an account payee cheque drawn on a bank or account payee bank draft" shall be substituted; (b) in rule 6DD, for the words "a crossed cheque drawn on a bank or by a crossed bank draft", the words "an account payee cheque drawn on a bank or account payee bank draft" shall be substituted.
