Section 80L(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961 specifies Debentures, in the nature of bonds issued by IDBI, Mumbai NOTIFICATION NO. 116/2005, DATED 24-3-2005 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( ii ) of sub-section (1) of section 80L of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies the following debentures, in the nature of bonds, namely:- BONDS HELD IN PHYSICAL FORM ( i ) The Industrial Development Bank of India Regular Income Bond (2004B) of 20 th Series bearing distinctive numbers from 2010000001 to 2010014526 under option "A", distinctive numbers from 2010020527 to 2010021072 under option "B", distinctive numbers from 2010021133 to 2010031113 under option "C" , distinctive numbers from 2010056214 to 2010056336 under option "D"; ( ii ) The Industrial Development Bank of India Floating Rate Bond (2004B) of 20 th series bearing distinctive numbers from 2020000001 to 2020000088 under option "A"; ( iii ) The Industrial Development Bank of India Infrastructure (Tax Saving) Bond (2004B) of 20 th Series bearing distinctive numbers from 2040000001 to 2040823839 under option "A", distinctive numbers from 2040838780 to 2040861182 under option "B", distinctive numbers from 2040861922 to 2041342065 under option "C", distinctive numbers from 2041347987 to 2041378868 under option "D"; BONDS HELD IN DEMAT FORM ( i ) The Industrial Development Bank of India Regular Income Bond (2004B) of 20 th Series bearing distinctive numbers from 2010014527 to 2010020526 under option "A", distinctive numbers from 2010021073 to 2010021132 under option "B", distinctive numbers from 2010031114 to 2010056213 under option "C" , distinctive numbers from 2010056337 to 2010056372 under option "D"; ( ii ) The Industrial Development Bank of India Floating Rate Bond (2004B) of 20 th Series bearing distinctive numbers from 2020000089 to 2020150398 under option "A"; and ( iii ) The Industrial Development Bank of India Infrastructure 19 th Tax Saving) Bond (2004B) of 20 th Series bearing distinctive numbers from 2040823840 to 2040838779 under option "A", distinctive numbers from 2040861183 to 2040861921 under option "B", distinctive numbers from 2041342066 to 2041347986 under option "C", distinctive numbers from 2041378869 to 2041380073 under option "D" issued by the Industrial Development Bank of India, Mumbai, a corporation established under section 3 of the Industrial Development Bank of India Act, 1964 (10 of 1964) in its public issue of bonds in Flexibonds-19 th Series, for the purposes of the said clause.
