Issue of Foreign Currency Exchangeable Bonds Scheme, 2008 has been specified as a scheme u/s 115AC Notification No. 28/2008 Dated: February 21, 2008 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) of Section 115AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government specifies the "Issue of Foreign Currency Exchangeable Bonds Scheme, 2008" notified vide notification number GSR 89(E) dated the 15th February, 2008 of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, as a Scheme for the purposes of the said section in respect of assessment year 2008- 2009 and subsequent assessment years.
