Jurisdiction of income-tax authorities - Amendments in Notification No. SO 733(E), dated 31-7-2001 Notification No. 27/2008 (S.O. 325(E)), dated 13-2-2008 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following further amendment to the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, (Department of Revenue), Central Board of Direct Taxes, number S.O. 733(E), dated 31st July, 2001, as amended by S.O. 410(E), dated 10-4-2002, namely :— 1. In the said Schedule-I to the notification number S.O.733(E), dated the 31st July, 2001,— ( i ) for serial numbers 58 and 60 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely :— Serial number Designation of the Income-tax authorities Headquarters Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) (4) 58 Chief Commissioner of Income-tax, Kolkata-II Kolkata ( i ) Commissioner of Income-tax, Kolkata-II ( ii ) Commissioner of Income-tax, Kolkata-XIII. 60 Chief Commissioner of Income-tax, Kolkata-IV Kolkata ( i ) Commissioner of Income-tax, Kolkata-IV ( ii ) Commissioner of Income-tax, Kolkata-XIV. ( ii ) Serial number 63 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
