MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28 March, 2008 S.O.781 (E),- Whereas M/s, Vikas Telecom Limited, a private organisation in the State of Karnataka, has pro posed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a sector-specific special economic zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Outer Ring Road, Devarabeesanhalli Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk, Bangalore in the State of Karnataka; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, has notified the total area of 36:S5 hectares at Outer Ring Road, Devarabeesanhalli Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk, Bangalore in the State of Karnataka as Special Economic Zone vide notification number S.O. 1465(E) dated 8th.September, 2006; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 1.31 hectares at Outer Ring Road, Devarabeesanhalli Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk, Bangalore in the State of Karnataka as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely: Total Area; 1.31 hectares [F.
