IT-SEZ at Rajarhat

M/s.Wipro Ltd. has submitted an application dated 20.01.2012 for setting up of a sector specific SEZ for IT/ITES over on area of 20.24 hectares ( 50 acres ) at Rajarhat, Kolkata, West Bengal with the proposed investment of Rs.325 crores and proposed employment of 8000 persons. The recommendation of the State Government for the proposed SEZ has not been received as yet.

This information was given by Shri Jyotiradiya M. Scindia, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
