No duty drawback on RICE, CEMENT, IRON and STEEL

The benefit of duty drawback has been withdrawn on the following goods:

1. RICE - heading no. 1006

2. CEMENT - heading no. 2523

3. Iron and Steel - Chapter 72

Central Government has issued a notification no. Notification No. 64/2008-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated 29-5-2008 to deny duty drawback (of Customs Duty, Central Excise Duty and Service Tax) on above items. Consequently, Customs, Central Excise Duties and Service Tax Drawback Rules, 1995 has been amended.
