RE IMPORT PROCEDURE, Customs - Exim - SEZ

DEAR EXPERTS,

WE HAD SUPPLY OUR FINAL PRODUCT TO OVERSEAS CUSTOMER, DUE TO SOME TECHNICAL DEFECT WE WILL PLAN TO RE-IMPORT THE FINAL PRODUCT AND AFTER RECTIFICATION WE WILL RE-EXPORT THE SAME.

AT THE TIME OF ORIGINAL EXPORT WE TAKE DRAWBACK AND MEIS.

MY QUESTION IS

WHAT IS PROCEDURE FOR RE-IMPORT OF FINAL PRODUCT?

CAN DRAWBACK AND MEIS PAYBACK? IF YES KINDLY SHARE WITH US PROCEDURE.

When you will re-import these goods then Customs Authorities would ask you to pay back all these benefits and export incentive, otherwise you would not be able to clear the goods from the customs port.

Dear Friend,

You can re-import the defective exported consignment under Notification No. 158/95-Cus for re-processing and re-export within the time lines prescribed by executing teh required Bond with Customs Authorities without payment of duties.

When you import kindly make sure you file Bill of Entry as RE-Import & mention your correct shipping bill info used at the time of exportation of goods in B/E. Don't forget to return back your export incentives and you would be able to import it duty free, again file relevant docs and Export Again. Happy Trading.
