Hi

I m on Per Diem in KSA with Salary being credited in India... If i stay >180Days in KSA ,

  1. Do I qualify for NRI Status, If yes, can i get back all the Tax paid in INR Salary
  2. My Reimbursements for Business spends in KSA get credited in INR in India, Is this Taxable as per Law

Revenue accrued in India is taxable unless there is a double taxation avoidation agreement.

Kindly provide a detailed answer, there are 2 questions... For Point 2, it is still not clear to me... I m referring to Saudi Arabia....

  1. Do I qualify for NRI Status, If yes, can i get back all the Tax paid in INR Salary
  2. My Reimbursements for Business spends in KSA get credited in INR in India, Is this Taxable as per Law

You may be qualified as NRI. But whatever taxes paid in India on the income received in India cannot be got refunded. The reimbursements may not be taxed subject to the limit prescribed under FEMA provisions.
