IGST CREDIT ON BILL OF ENTRY |

Company A imports goods through Indian Post. IGST amount is shown in the receipt issued by Indian Post. Can I take credit of IGST paid Customs bill of entry. I request experts to give advice. Posts / Replies Showing Replies 1 to 3 of 3 Records Page: 1
Madam, As per rule 36 (1) (d) of CGST Rules, 2017 "a bill of entry or any similar document prescribed under the Customs Act, 1962 or rules made thereunder for the assessment of integrated tax on imports is an eligible document on the basis of which the input tax credit shall be availed by a registered person.
Receipt issued by Indian Post is also valid for taking ITC. You have paid IGST. You have proof of payment of IGST.
One query on above query - Wether the time barring provisions are not applicable in case of input credit of IGST on bill of entry. Means can we take input credit of IGST paid on imports done in Oct.18 in Nov..19 i.e. after last date of filing return of Sept.19 Page: 1 Old Query - New Comments are closed. |
