It is possible to get Proof of Export certificate without BRC or FIRC (Foreign Inward Remittance Certificate)

  • Contents
Kindly advice that it is possible to get proof of export certificate from our Excise Range office without BRC or FIRC. Except the above we have all the documents to get it (like ARE-1 (Original, Duplicate & Triplicate), Shipping Bill (EP Copy), Mate Receipt etc. Somebody said me that 'Mate Receipt' is sufficent to get POE. Kindly Advice accordingly...

Dear Vidya Sagar Jha, first upon i will clear that you have submit POE in Annexure 19 to the Jurisdictional Division Office and not to Range.

In central excise export procedure you have to submit Annexure 19 as proof of export.  As per procedure contained in Central Excise manual  Annexure 19 should be submit along with custom attested original and duplicate copy of A.R.E.1, (Pink copy of A.R.E. if the same is with you), Xerox copy of EP Copy and Mate receipt. These are the valid export documents to prove the goods are exported. Further it is mentioned in the Rule that in case of misplacement of any one of the documnets stated above,  assessee can submit BRC or Mate receipt as additional evidence for proof of export.

Regarding POE certificate, this is not required if you have submitted the POE in Annexure 19. Your responsibility will be over after submission of  Annexure 19. No where in Rule mentioned that after submission of Annexure 19, Jurisdictional Division Office should give certificate. This is old procedure to receive certificate of POE.
