Before embarking upon an enquiry on the said question it will be useful to note that the provisions of section 5(3)(ii) of the Act was inserted by Act 13 of 1993 only with effect from April 1, 1993 and that the assessment years concerned are 1989-90, 1990-91 and 1991-92 in respect of which the said amendment has no application at all.
